JAX Outdoor Stores Are Anti-Gun With Policy

JAX Mercantile has decided to not allow licensed holders of concealed handgun permits carry in their stores. I found this to be a strange policy for a company that sells and fixes firearms to have such an anti 2nd amendment stance. I visited the Loveland Colorado JAX store and did verify that they have now posted a sign on their store informing “NO FIREARMS ALLOWED” I called the Loveland Store and spoke with the store manager Brandon who confirmed they will not allow the possession of any firearms inside of their stores. He has informed me that this is a corporate policy and is in effect at all of the JAX stores. As gun owners we should speak out and let JAX know that we do not shop at anti gun stores. We should contact our local JAX offices and the JAX home office and inform them that they will not receive our business until they change their anti-gun policies.

Brandon from the Loveland store has called me back while writing this post. He has informed me that Jax being a private company has the right to politely ask that no customers carry firearms inside of their stores. He informed me that they do not want to offend any customers so that it only makes sense for them to ask no customers to carry any firearms inside of their stores. He pointed out the fact that the store is generally staffed with 18 and 19 year old girls at the front counter and that men with guns could easily scare them and other customers. He also said that it would not be safe if these same girls were responsible for having to check for firearms. Although I applaud Brandon for following through and calling me back this policy is anti-gun and for a gun store to have such a policy is extremely hypocritical in my opinion. So I will go forward in asking all responsible gun owners to contact Jax on their anti-gun and anti gun owner policies.
